Crohn’s Disease
Crohn’s disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes inflammation in the various parts of the gastrointestinal tract. The inflammation can affect the bowel tissue, which can lead to life-threatening complications.
Symptoms include:
- Abdominal pain
- Severe Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Weight loss
- Malnutrition
- Blood in stool
- Mouth sores
- Pain or drainage around anus
There is no known cure for Crohn's disease, but therapies can help manage symptoms and put disease in long-term remission. Many patients are able to function well when being managed on therapies.
