Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the brain and spinal cord. The disease causes the body’s own immune system to attack nerve fibers and destroy its protective sheath. This causes communication problems between the brain and the rest of the body. Eventually, there will be permanent damage to the nerves.

Symptoms include:

• numbness or weakness usually on one side of the body at a time
• tremors
• lack of coordination
• blurry vision
• double vision
